If you’re going on a short cruise, book it on a night when the Pirates party is not occurring. When we got on-board and received our dining rotation card, we noticed that we were assigned Animator’s Palate on our Palo night.
If you are traveling with kids, you will need to make sure they are happy in the kids’ club (or are otherwise occupied) during brunch time. This had strawberry popping pearls and pistachio crumble. We have to give a lot of points to this dessert on presentation alone. The bright colors and chocolate details on top made it very visually appealing.
It had a has a sharp, complex fruity/nutty taste together with a strong savory flavor and was smooth. This lovely mouthful was a complex little creamy mushroom soup. The toasted gnocchi was perfect, a small bite that wasn’t excessively doughy as gnocchi can be sometimes. It was so light that it actually would have been easy to mistake for a crouton if you weren’t paying attention. It was a wonderful choice after having such a heavy meal. It tasted so fresh and the popping pearls provided a fun sensory experience.
With Disney Palo Brunch there will be either sparkling wine or a Mimosa included in the cost. In my experience, there is a pretty wide range of interpretations of this Palo dress code, but most people are dressed in what would be described as “smart casual”. Make sure that you go to the designated location as soon as you get on board to make the reservations that you want. Quite often when you try and book Palo online you will be told that there are no reservations available.
The price increase was to $45 for both Palo Brunch and Dinner. As you would expect, guests at Palo Dinner tend to be more formally dressed than at Palo Brunch.
